Bird n’ Batter

I have always wanted to try chicken and waffles from Roscoe’s. Since I am in LA; I decided to give it a try. I wish I could say more about this experience.
I was first introduced to the bird and batter by Snoop Doggy Dogg on his show “The Dogg Father”. You see, Snoop tries to get at the chicken while his wife tries to make him stop eating greasy foods, but Snoops chubby assistants gets the chicken for Snoop. Well, the good news is, the chicken is not greasy and the waffles aren’t either.
I ordered the “Country Boy”, which is three, count’em, three chicken wings and one regular waffle [special batter, whatever]. This would be one damn skinny country boy! I ordered this because it was cheap at 8-9 dollars. They say happy cows come from California; I’m willing to bet the chickens are happy to be worth that much and how do you even put a price on batter. This meal had no substance. Sure, I could have ordered the whole chicken, but at what cost?
I’m sorry, but in my opinion, this restaurant is all hype. The irony is, the location I visited is built right next to a Kentucky fried chicken. I can’t decide which place is worse.
Dissi’n on the chicken,
